In this lovely "charentaise" style outbuilding, 20 metres away from the main house, the walls and floors are traditional : local stone and terracotta tiles.
The doors and windows open on to a shaded lawn to the west, with a lovely view over the pigeon-house, the "château" and the 15th century tower. The windows at the back also look on to the park and if one is patient enough wild animals can be seen.
The country life has left its marks everywhere in this very old building. It has been altered many times but always in keeping with the traditional style.
Nearby,you have the old bread-oven, the "bujoliers" to do the "buée" (old word for washing), the oil-mill, ...witnesses to everydaylife centuries past.

The Studio, self-catering***, room 8, has an old mantelpiece, made of cream brick. It can be let for few days as a "gîte". In the bedroom : a king size bed, a wardrobe, a dining-table, TV SAT, a telephone and pluging telephone. 30 m²
The kitchen comprises an oven, 2 electric hot-plates, a micro wave oven, a sink, a frig/freezer and fully equiped for preparing meals. In the bathroom : a shower, a raised toilet-seat, a wash-basin, a hair dryer. Newly furnished.
Sheets are provided. You can use a washing-machine in the main house, free of charge.
Garden furniture at your disposal.

The bedroom (n°9), hotel*** next door is well shaded in the summer : king-size bed (or twin beds on demand), a sat tv set with foreign channels. An additionnaly bed can be provided. A plug-in telephone, a wardrobe, a desk .
The large bathroom has a French window, a shower, a raised toilet-seat, a washbasin and a hair dryer......
Everything is brand new !
